pcProx USB or RS-232 Indala Reader

Proximity card users can use just one card to protect their facility as well as identify their users.

The pcProx USB reader allows end users to read all identification information into any application running under Windows 98, 2000, or XP. Now organizations can allow employees to identify themselves with other independent software such as Excel, Access or any in-house created application.

The end user may selectively include/exclude any card information by configuring the reader. Additionally, the user may format the facility and ID codes, define separator characters, and append characters such as CR or TAB to the ID to further enhance the using reader with 3rd party applications.

All proximity card formats are supported.

The kit includes: (1) one Indala compatible pcProx USB reader, Configuration is downloaded (3.5mb) using a link supplied above. Note: The user may order a separate CD below.

Requires USB port and an operating system that supports USB devices.

Note: Some Indala/Motorola cards may need special programming to return the same number held in the facility access control database. See PN BSE-PCPRXM-CUST

RS-232 model outputs in ASCII at 9600, N, 8, 1.
