RF IDeas offers a line of bare-board data converters for Wiegand devices, Serial-to-Ethernet, and contactless smart card readers. Wiegand: The products in this category are suitable for OEMs who have the need to take the Wiegand output and convert this to RS232, TTL, RS485/RS422 4-wire non-bridged mode, or USB. Or take RS-232 and convert this to Wiegand. The RF IDeas converters are capable of translating all major Wiegand-based reader technologies including Proximity, BarCode, and MagStripe. As an example, a BarCode or Wiegand reader can be attached through a converter to a serial or USB port on a PC. The PC program will see the card reads as a formatted ASCII string, perfect for data security or time and attendance. Serial to Ethernet: The converter in this category is suitable for attaching any RF IDeas RS-232 output device (reader/converter) to a RJ45 Ethernet connection. Playback: The converter in this category is suitable for attaching any HID iCLASS read/write reader (RW100/RW400) and attaching to a variety of ports for the purpose of playing back the data written to in the read/write space of the card.
